Mumbai: Image Entertainment, a leading independent licensee, producer and distributor of home entertainment programming in North America, announced that it has selected Sony DADC for authoring and compression of the company’s continuing output of high-definition Blu-ray releases.
Image’s first Blu-ray titles, released earlier this year, were the romantic comedy Suburban Girl, and the Australian war classic Breaker Morant. The Blu-ray special edition of Sidney Lumet’s critically-acclaimed Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead will be released on 15 April, while The Air I Breathe will debut on Blu-ray 6 May.
The release date for Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece Company is 20 May. A bonus-laden special edition of John Badham’s perennial favorite Short Circuit will also be released on Blu-ray 20 May.
