Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles preps for 2012 entries

MUMBAI: The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) announced its call for entries. The 10th anniversary edition will be held 10-15 April 2012, at ArcLight Hollywood in  Los Angeles.

The  deadline with reduced fees for  film submissions is 11 November, 2011. The final deadline is 06 January, 2012. IFFLA 2012 seeks narrative, documentary, music videos, experimental, children’s and animated films of any length and format. Jury and Audience Choice Prizes are awarded for Best Feature, Best Documentary and Best Short films.

The 2011 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles launched with the opening night gala presentation of Nila Madhab Panda’s I Am Kalam starring Gulshan Grover and concluded with the IFFLA closing night gala world premiere presentation of Disney’s Zokkomon starring Anupam Kher. Both Grover and Kher were in attendance.

Other highlights included the presentation of the 2012 IFFLA Industry Leadership Awards to Sony Pictures Television president -networks Andy Kaplan; PVR founder, chairman & managing director Ajay Bijli and Multi Screen Media India CEO Man Jit Singh; seminars with panelists from Sundance, Reliance, Screen Actors Guild, Writers Guild of America, USA Networks, Deluxe Labs, and Nickelodeon; and nightly performances in the IFFLA Rhythm Village presented by Rukus Avenue.
