
LONDON: Actor and eco-warrior Leonardo Di Caprio has become an equity investor in electric car company Fisker Automotive.
Lasy year, the 37-year-old became the first recipient of a 2012 Fisker Karma, one of the most environmental-friendly vehicles on the market. And now DiCaprio is partnering with the luxury hybrid brand, which will in turn support his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Charity, reports dailystar.co.uk.
A statement from DiCaprio said: "My foundation supports efforts to secure a sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants. I am delighted to be working with Fisker Automotive to promote this shared vision."
Established in 1998, DiCaprio’s non-profit organisation main objective is to work on a variety of environmental issues, including wildlife protection and forest preservation.
