Lionsgate inks deal with Fintage Music

MUMBAI: Lionsgate has signed an agreement with Fintage Music to handle all international music sub-publishing for current and upcoming Lionsgate music rights. The announcement was made by Fintage Music’s Bruce Lampcov and Niels Teves and Lionsgate president of music and publishing Jay Faires.

The deal includes such Lionsgate films as Akeelah And The Bee, Employee Of The Month, and the upcoming release Bug, in addition to Lionsgate television series such as Weeds and Wildfire.

“Having an organization with global reach like Fintage Music, which combines 20 years of expertise in both film and music rights collection, was very important to us. They provide a secure and reliable service and have the flexibility to accommodate all of our needs,” said Faires.

Fintage Music is part of Fintage House, the leading provider of customised financial solutions for the film, television, and music industries. Fintage has recently expanded its music division, closing deals with high profile catalogs and artists such as 8 mile style (Eminem), Crosstown Music, Robbie Williams, Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), and ABC Television.

“Lionsgate’s list of film and television productions is impressive in both its international scope and tremendous success with audiences. Fintage Music is looking forward to working with Jay and his team and maximizing the earnings potential on their entire list of productions,” said Lampcov.

“We have been dealing for many years with Lionsgate at Fintage Film & TV and are delighted that we can extend our relationship to music publishing for Fintage Music. We strongly believe that our combined knowledge, experience and business model for these industries provide a very solid basis for our clients to maximize their cash revenues,” Teves added.
