Universal Music Group Distribution appoints Malinoff as vice president

MUMBAI: Randy Malinoff has been appointed to vice president, direct-to-consumer eCommerce for Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD). He will report to Universal Music Distribution senior vice president, marketing and product development Mitch Rotter.

In this position, Malinoff will be responsible for developing, executing and maximizing all UMGD direct-to-consumer (D2C) online sales initiatives. He will work closely with UMGD labels to provide strategic support in the launch of artist based D2C stores and offers as well as the D2C marketing department to ensure the successful deployment of new offers. Malinoff will also have operational oversight of UMGD’s D2C platform to drive enhancements and new feature sets.
