MGM signs long term output deal with France Telecom’s Orange

Mumbai: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Worldwide Television Distribution (MGM) has signed a long term output deal with France Telecom’s Orange, providing MGM content to Orange cinema series, the company’s new multi-platform pay television service in France.

The agreement expands upon existing VOD deals MGM has made with France Telecom’s Orange in the United Kingdom, Spain and Poland. The announcement was made by MGM co-president of worldwide television Gary Marenzi.

"France Telecom is a blue chip player on five continents and we are proud to be offering MGM’s entertainment content to the launch of its new Orange pay television," said Marenzi. "We are pleased to partner with Orange in bringing MGM content to its pay television subscribers in France and look forward to collaborating with France Telecom on other innovative, long term business opportunities as they are developed."

Among MGM’s feature film titles included in Orange’s pay television output deal for France are the upcoming James Bond feature Quantum of Solace, The Pink Panther, Capote, Into the Blue, and Yours, Mine & Ours.
