Sony Pictures Television & Caracol TV ink 3-year multiple series co-production deal

MUMBAI: Caracol Television and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) have entered into a three-year co-production agreement to produce multiple primetime series to premiere on Caracol Television in Colombia.

The agreement builds on the relationship combining their expertise in creating and producing Spanish language telenovelas and tele-series and distributing them worldwide.

SPT and Caracol Television will co-produce two primetime series per year over the course of the partnership. Caracol Television will produce local versions of formats from SPT’s scripted format catalogue. The parties will share distribution of the series worldwide.

SPT managing director and executive vice president, Latin America & US Hispanic production Donna Cunningham said, "Caracol Television’s  record of creating, producing and launching primetime programming makes them an ideal partner. Latin America has a history of  drama and we hope to capitalize on the pool of creative talent that the territory has to offer."
