Mumbai: Star has appointed Ron Plante as senior vice president, research. Based in Hong Kong, Plante will spearhead ad sales research, market research, program research and audience measurement research in support of sales, programming, marketing, and business development activities for the company.
He will work with research teams throughout the region including India, Greater China and South East Asia and reports to Star president, entertainment Todd Lituchy.
Lituchy said, "Ron is a television executive with a wealth of research and marketing experience that spans two decades and two continents. His expertise will be counted upon heavily as we expand our offering across the region and broaden the ways in which we build connections with our viewers and our advertisers."
