MUMBAI: Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and Bloomingdale’s have partnered on a major, multi-faceted initiative celebrating the fashion of Hollywood’s leading men and leading ladies. Lights, Camera, Fashion will bring the art of film fashion to 36 Bloomingdale’s stores in 18 top markets through specially designed in-store exhibits, contests and live events, including appearances by TCM host and film historian Robert Osborne. TCM is one of several partners working with Bloomingdale’s on the initiative, which begins in August and continues through October.
"Turner Classic Movies and Bloomingdale’s are both known for impeccable style and sophistication, making this an ideal partnership. We are delighted to work with Bloomingdale’s in bringing this celebration of Hollywood’s influential fashion to stores across the nation," said TCM, TBS and TNT senior vice president of entertainment marketing Tricia Melton.
"We wanted our film salute to have roots in the enduring glamour of Hollywood, while stretching all the way to the excitement of today’s most notable independent filmmakers. We are thrilled that TCM has worked with us on so many levels that combine what is contemporary with what is classic," said Bloomingdale’s executive vice president of creative services Jack Hruska.
