MUMBAI: Warner Music UK has engaged the services of Jeremy Marsh as vice-chairman of Warner Bros Records UK.
He will report to Warner Music UK CEO and Warner Bros Records UK chairman Christian Tattersfield.
Marsh’s principle responsibility will be to oversee the operations of Warner Bros Records UK, including providing strategic direction across the marketing, press and promotions departments. Marsh will be instrumental in supporting Warner Bros Records’ artists, ranging from new talent to established global stars. In addition to the expertise Marsh will be able to bring to bear on an artist’s recording career, he can draw on the full range of services that Warner Music UK offers its acts, including capabilities in live, merchandise, brand association, management, sync and direct-to-consumer digital solutions.
Tattersfield said, "Jeremy is one of the most accomplished, respected and multi-talented music executives in the UK, with a long-standing track record in nurturing new talent to stardom and amplifying the popularity of world famous names. His passionate commitment to artists is coupled with a deep understanding of how to capitalise on the myriad new ways to connect with a fan base, further strengthened by his recent experience in the fields of digital technology and artist partnerships. I look forward to working closely with him and the gifted team at Warner Bros Records UK as we continue to advance the label’s reputation as the highly creative and progressive home of some of the greatest artists in music."
Marsh added, "I’m delighted to be working with Christian again and with such an iconic record company. The challenge of building on Warner Bros Records UK’s successes during a period of such constant change, seems like a great way to combine my label experiences with my recent work at GoMix and JML."
