twofour54 Abu Dhabi to debut at MIPTV 2009

MUMBAI: Media and entertainment professionals from across continents are heading to Cannes later this month, to take part in MIPTV, the world’s entertainment content market.

Indian broadcasters and producers participating in MIPTV this year include the who’s who of the business – Reliance Big Entertainment Ltd., Balaji Telefilms, Endemol India, Sahara One Media & Entertainment Ltd., NDTV Imagine. among many others.

Making its debut appearance at the MIPTV this year is Abu Dhabi’s Arabic media and entertainment content creation initiative, twofour54 Abu Dhabi, which creates a new industry opportunity for the region.

With some of the world’s leading content companies like CNN, BBC, Thomson Foundation, Random House, Harper Collins and Financial Times already onboard and announcing major plans, twofour54’s advanced ecosystem offers a great business opportunity for India’s media and entertainment sector to seek new markets and develop world class Arabic content for the Middle East region and its 300 million Arab audience.

twofour54 is using MIPTV to announce its first TV co-production agreement as well as an opportunity to engage with the content creation industry.

twofour54 was launched in October 2008 to provide a supportive ecosystem that will allow the establishment of a sustainable media and content creation industry in Abu Dhabi for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The focus is on developing Arabic media and entertainment content by Arabs and for the Arab audience.
