Universal Music Group signs deal with Neil Finn

Mumbai: Universal Music Publishing Group president of Europe & UK Paul Connolly announced the signing of Neil Finn to an exclusive, long-term, publishing administration deal for the World (excluding North America, Australia/New Zealand). 

Finn is one of the most prolific and successful songwriters of his generation in a career that has spanned over thirty years. The deal comprises all of Neil’s works about Split Enz, all Crowded House albums until 1996, two solo albums, and the first Finn Brothers release. Amongst the vast array of works included in the deal are such classics as I Got You, Weather With You, Don’t Dream It’s Over, and Distant Sun, amongst others.

Connolly commented, "It is a privilege to be representing such a world class songwriter and his timeless song collection." 

Universal Music Publishing senior A&R manager Darryl Watts added, "I have been a great admirer of Neil throughout his career. It is a true pleasure to commence our long-term relationship as his publisher."

Neil Finn joins UMP UK’s successful roster of talent, including Adele, Lily Allen, Bjork, The Clash, Coldplay, Elvis Costello, The Cure, Feist, Franz Ferdinand, Elton John/Bernie Taupin, Joy Division, Keane, The Killers, Kate Nash, Sex Pistols, The Smiths, Snow Patrol, Van Morrison, and Paul Weller, amongst others.
