94.3 My FM celebrates World Music Day

Mumbai: 94.3 My FM is going to celebrate World Music Day on 21 June across its 17 stations. It has lined up a number of innovative activities including music-based contests, RJ choice of special song, famous music composer’s interviews.

94.3 My FM COO Harrish M. Bhatia said, "Music is the soul of Radio and so World Music Day naturally becomes a big opportunity of celebration for the industry as well as to provide choicest entertainment to the listeners."  

The Jaipur station, in its popular morning show Salaam Jaipur, shall be running an on-air contest wherein the song’s musical prelude would be played and listeners would be asked to identify the song. On-ground, RJs shall ask people to sing and someone really bad at singing shall be gifted with a CD from My FM to make him inculcate a sense of music.  

My FM Ahmedabad station shall play famous musicians’ bytes and then play their favourite songs. The fabric of all the shows on music day shall be based on music. In a unique on-air contest, listeners shall be asked to identify the song, music director or the lyricist.  

My FM Indore has planned a show wherein the RJs shall reveal how music has become their life and play their choicest songs to listeners delight. The station is also planning a contest wherein the winners shall be rewarded with a coupon through which they could access a website and make changes in popular songs according to their preference and send it to their dear ones.

My FM stations in Punjab will arrange a contest wherein the listeners will be asked to identify the musician based on a song’s tune or the lyrics. The winner will be rewarded with Music CDs or the gift vouchers of popular music stores.

My FM Raipur is also reaching out to entertain its listeners in a major way by playing songs of their choice and arranging dialogues with famous personalities in music world whether it is folk or popular.
