MUMBAI: Technical prowess on the turntables ensured that DJ Jitesh won the War of the DJs, organised by Times Music at the Yash Raj studios in Mumbai on 24 February 2007.
The closely fought final among seven shortlisted disc jockeys from all over the country culminated with Pune’s DJ Tally being named first runner-up and Bangalore’s DJ Vanshi adjudged second runner-up.
The winner walked away with the Champions Trophy, state-of-the-art DJ equipment and a music album contract with Times Music. The event also featured performances by singer Zubeen Garg, DJ Suketu and an act by Rafaqat Ali Khan.
The judges for the evening included music director Pritam and DJ Suketu. Other celebrities present at the occasion were film director Vikram Bhatt, actor Dino Morea, DJ Ryan Beck, Aasma the Band and singer Shibani Kashyap.
