Kher celebrates one year of Kailasha

MUMBAI: Kailash Kher celebrated the first anniversary of his album Kailasha on 22 March 2007 with an event marked by an interactive performance by the artiste himself, along with his band members.

Kher’s industry colleagues including Salim and Suleman, Ketan Mehta, Madhur Bhandarkar, Illa Arun, Sameer, Sudesh Bhosle, Aadesh Srivastav, Sonal Sehgal, Piyush Pandey, Ashok Pundit, Prashant Nayar, Bosco, Deepali Joshi, Sanjay Maroo, Shamir Tandon, Vivek Madan and Amar Deb were present on the occasion.

Kher says, “It takes years of singing in chorus, and even then the best of singers could go unnoticed. God has blessed me with just a few years of great work in the industry and remarkable support from my peers to which I am grateful.”

Kailash Kher hit the limelight with the hit Allah Ke Bande and has since, sung for films like Mangal Pandey, Corporate and, recently, Salaam e Ishq. Kher is known as a singer, composer and lyricist, whose forte is the Sufi style of music.
