MUMBAI: Manipal University has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Radio One, which is a joint venture with Next Media works and BBC worldwide.
Manipal University and Radio One, with a mutual vision to add value to the media & entertainment industry and the student community, have come together to provide their expertise to potential students of management, focusing in the field of Media Management.
Radio One will be an academic partner with Manipal University, by providing academic training, infrastructure and networking links with the industry to fulfil the educational needs of the students enrolled. Students pursuing an MBA M&E will be provided with an option of pursuing their 4th semester of the program with specialization in Radio Broadcasting and Management with Radio One at their stations in 7 cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad.

The two-year MBA program in Media & Entertainment (4 semesters, full time) offered by Manipal University comes with a specialization in radio or film in the fourth semester. The first three semesters of the MBA program will be conducted in Manipal University Bangalore Campus, covering all General Management subjects and media & entertainment case studies.
The final & fourth semester of the program will be conducted at various industry organizations; for students of radio could choose to train at Radio One campus across India and would also be exposed to live projects and acquire practical assistance. This will include actual production and post-productions techniques, understanding Radio Broadcast and other sectors of media & entertainment with hands on exposure at Radio One. Upon successful completion of the Program, MU will award the students an MBA degree. An additional joint course certificate shall be given to the students by MU and Radio One.
