MUMBAI: Forthcoming film Say Salaam India’s cast, including Sanjay Suri, Sachin Khedekar, Manoj Pahwa and Shraddha Nigam were present at the launch of the film’s music on 22 March 2007.
Produced by Credence motion pictures and Speaking Tree films, the film is written and directed by debutant Subhash Kapoor.
The film’s music has been scored by another debutant, Gaurav Dayal while the lyrics have been penned by Gauhar Raza. Sonu Nigam, Shubha Mudgal, Naresh Aiyear and Labh Jhanjua have lent their voices for the tracks.
Say Salaam India, that features Sanjay Suri, Milind Soman and Sandhya Mridul in lead roles, is a cricket film inspired by the struggle of four Indian cricketers (Sehwag, Bhajji, Dhoni and Pathan) and celebrates their success in Indian cricket. The film demonstrates how cricketers living in small cities and villages pursue the game despite hardships and a virtual non-existance of cricket facilities.
The film will be released worldwide on 30 March 2007 by Adlabs.
