Film: Krazzy 4

Rating: 2 / 5
All Rakesh Roshan’s films have great music and he gets the best out from the in-house composer Rajesh Roshan. Krazzy 4 has been making lots of news with two item numbers; one with Shah Rukh Khan himself and the other one by the Queen Bee of Item Numbers Rakhi Sawant.
The music of Krazzy 4 is more situational, but the highlight of the album are definitely both the item numbers.
Rest the music is nothing that one can look forward to hear… but hopefully to “see” (could be an integral part of the story telling).
Also the four versions of the title track sets in a kind of repetitiveness and monotony in the album.
The title track “Krazzy 4” has been rendered by musician Vishal Dadlani who has earlier sung for Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Pritam and has a distant sound. This track is something that would just be forgotten in no time.
The second track in the album is “Dekhta Hai Tu Kya,” has a unique rustic nautanki item number. Sunidhi Chauhan has done more than justice to the song and it can definitely be one of the reasons that one should pick up this album. It’s Javed Akhtar all the way. All in all this song could be called the “Awesome Foursome”- Sunidhi Chauhan, Javed Akhtar, Rajesh Roshan and last but not the least Rakhi Sawant!
Next is the item number “Break Free” featuring Shah Rukh Khan, which is an an extended version of the title track… well there are minor changes in “Krazzy 4” and “Break Free.” But it’s mostl the same song packaged differently. This song would be a visual treat rather that treat to the ears!
The fourth track in this album is “O Re Lakad.” A very old school composition, this track disappoints totally. Guess the expectations are too much with people like Rajesh Roshan and Kailash Kher.
Next on the album is “Ik Rupiya,” which is a situational number and has no sound. This may turn out to be a song that you would like to “SEE” and would not “HEAR.”
Tracks six, seven and eight are mere re-mixes of “Break Free”, “Dekhta Hai Tu Kya” and “Krazzy 4” by DJ Aqeel.
One should rather stick to the original and just fast-forward the re-mix version.
The last song of this album is “Jan Gan Mann.” Now what can we say about this… it’s our national anthem.
