MUMBAI: MyBand.co.in – events division held its first ever Music Concert – MyBand MyMusic featuring top 8 bands of the portal on 26 September 2009 at Rock Heights in Hyderabad. Targeted towards the youth of the city, the music show will have bands of various genres coming together and creating magical moments with their unmatched performance.
The 6 hour concert will feature bands like Evergreen, Prosody, Rudrapassion, Today’s Special , Ankur Tewari and Ghalat Family , Ek, Shor Bazaar and Almost September – all chosen through the portal. The show will be ticketed at Rs.100 only. The event is produced by BIG Live – Reliance Group which is the multi-brand event organizing arm of BIG 92.7 FM.
The campaign will also have pre and post promotions across colleges, youth hangouts, pubs, corporates, Café Coffee Day outlets. Awareness is driven using various multi-media promotions – Outdoors, TV, Print and Radio.
MyBand CEO Debashis Dey said, "The concert is the first of kind where independent bands would be performing together under a single platform. The city is eagerly waiting for this, so we learnt through our channels and fans on the portal. In fact we have requests from other cities for organizing such events. Our objective is providing a platform for performance for the bands in myband.co.in. This event is completely self funded and we yet do not have much in terms of sponsors. But believe in me, once this concert is over, sponsors will line up to partner our initiative of promoting Indian Independent bands through Live Concerts. This is just the beginning. the music is yet to reach other cities and watch out we will be there pretty soon."
The show will be telecast live on Hi Music and tickets will be made available at select Café Coffee Day Outlets in the city. The rock bands will also be featured on BIG 92.7 FM’s Bollywood Band KIRKIRI.
