Radio City wins three Indian Radio Awards

MUMBAI: Radio City 91.1FM bagged three awards at the Indian Excellence in Radio Awards (ERA). The awards were held at the second edition of the India Radio Forum 2007.

The station’s Bangalore waves bagged the award for Station of the Year, RJ of the Year (English) award went to RJ Vasanthi of Radio City Bangalore and RJ of the Year (Hindi) was awarded to Love Guru.

Speaking at India Radio Forum 2007, Radio City CEO Apurva Purohit said, “We are very proud of Bangalore! Of all the Radio City stations in the country, Bangalore faced the maximum competition last year. At a time when seven other radio stations were being launched in the city, it was tough to keep a high connect with the audience. It’s a good thing that all our efforts have paid off.”

The previous year saw Radio City stealing the limelight by bagging seven awards that included three gold and four silver awards.
