Saregama India re-launches music of Dev Anand’s Hum Dono

MUMBAI: Saregama India is all set to go back in time and re-launch the music of the classic film Hum Dono. The movie was a box office hit in Bollywood, produced and acted in by the legendary Dev Anand co-starring Nanda and Sadhana.
Hum Dono is now digitally being made in color and is slated to release in theaters nationally on 4 February. 
The music from the movie was famous and a great hit during its time with songs like Main Zindagi ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya, Allah tero naam and Abhi Na Jao Chhodkar by legendary artistes Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle.
The songs will be re-released in stereo format. Additionally, after each song in the album, actors Dev Anand and Nanda have give their commentary, sharing their experience and anecdotes on the shooting experiences during the songs, their rapport with each other and their opinion on the music and the film.
Saregama music head Adarsh Gupta said, “Hum Dono – Rangeen is an interesting way for us to market this iconic soundtrack to a whole new generation of listeners. The evergreen DNA of Dev Sahab comes through in the new stereo sound of this film’s music, giving it a whole new lease of life.  The music marketing is focused on the eternally popular “lighter” tune being pushed as ringtone.”
