Director of this year’s most awaited film Baahubali, S.S. Rajamouli has a lot on his plate as the film is nearing its release. Naturally a lot of people’s hopes are riding on Rajamouli’s work and the director is not taking anything lightly. At the recent trailer launch event of the film, the Eega filmmaker opened up about the harsh struggle faced by him in the path of making a film like Baahubali.
Baahubali is said to be the most expensive film to be ever produced in the history of Indian cinema and is termed to be India’s biggest motion picture. The large scale production of the film has cost investment on a higher level which increases the pressure faced by its director S.S. Rajamouli. At the trailer launch Rajamouli spoke up, “This film’s world is something that I have been living in and not just dreaming of. And it is a very difficult world to construct; it just doesn’t happen in one day. We keep on building it brick by brick and it is not my money that I am building it with. It is the producers’ money and I have a moral responsibility towards them.”
Rajamouli very poetically spoke about the contradicting emotions faced by him as Baahubali’s filmmaker where he could see his world being built on one hand and the budget of the film rising on the other hand simultaneously. The director further spoke, “I’m spending less and less time with my family. I should thank my wife Rama who was very supportive and understanding. She not only designed the looks and costume of the film but she was also my backbone who made me stand up and walk and made my world of Baahubali become true. I had a lot of contradicting emotions going through me while making the film but more than my emotions, the people involved are the ones who made my world come true.”
Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film has been produced by K. RaghavendraRao, Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. Star cast of the film boasts of an impressive lineup including actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sudeep, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Ramya Krishnan and Prabhakar. The film is set to release in four different languages namely Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. First half of the film will come out on July 10.
