[tps_footer]Bobby Jasoos had everything going; a good star cast, a never before seen female detective and a very positive pre-release buzz.
Bobby Jasoos is not all about Vidya Balan‘s get-up’s, but goes beyond that. Vidya Balan gets it right but, only if there was substance in the project, things would have been much better. Bobby Jasoos in its first half is fun and in the second gets serious, but then gets lost as there is no content.
Bobby is in search of an opening in the agency, but she is turned away as she is not qualified, but Bobby wants to make it anyhow. Bobby is supported by the internet cafe man Shetty (Prasad Barve), the tea shop owner Munna (Aakash Dahiya) and last but not the least television news anchor Tasawwur (Ali Fazal).
Bobby is also supported by her Ammi (Supriya Pathak), a kid sister Noor (Benaf Dadachandji) and Kausar Khaala (Tanvi Azmi), who are fun to watch. Bobby meets Anees Khan (Kiran Kumar), gives her a series of assignments and offers her good monies and that’s where the film starts to fall apart.
The idea of Bobby Jasoos is good, but the execution is very sub standard. The film is full of loopholes and is very predictable. Music by Shantanu Moitra is strictly average.
Also I am yet to figure out why did the film have to start with a couple, Arjan Bajwa and Anupriya Goenka, passionately making out in an alley.
In a nut shell, the look and feel of the film is perfect, but wished there was a script. Please guys, wake up and smell the coffee and stop wasting money producing such projects.
Bobby Jasoos is all about Vidya Balan, Vidya Balan and Vidya Balan but if you dare to watch it, then watch it for her.
