Song Review: Iski Uski From 2 States – Refreshing And Fun

Akriti Kakar and Shahid Mallya have sung Iski Uski beautifully and its enjoyable, is very upbeat and a vibrant song. The song features Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor, this track starts off when a lady in the wedding function makes fun of Alia’s name in the film and then enters Arjun Kapoor with his dance moves.

Iski Uski, is a dance number that takes place when Ananya is invited to Krish’s household to attend a wedding ceremony. The video of the song starts as Ananya gets introduced to Krish’s family members who can never pronounce her name correctly and call her Anayay. To make his girlfriend feel at ease Krish starts dancing.

Akriti Kakar is very happy that she sang this song and describing Iski Uski, she says, “It is based on a girl and boy who have decided to get married. But they are trying to figure out whether the wedding should follow the Punjabi rituals, or that of the South Indian.”

2 States is based on Chetan Bhagat‘s novel by the same name, the film is a story of two IIM Ahmedabad students Krish Malhotra (Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya Swaminathan (Alia Bhatt) who fall in love with each other but their cultural differences create problems, as the girl is a south Indian while the boy is a north Indian Punjabi.

2 States also stars Ronit Roy and Amrita Singh as Arjun’s parents while Revathy and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam as Alia Bhatt’s parents.

2 States, is being co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala along with Chetan Bhagat and the film is being directed by debutant Abhishek Varman, who previously assisted Karan Johar during My Name Is Khan.

The film is set to hit the screens on April 18, 2014.
