[tps_footer]Kathak Dancers, Ragini Makkhar And Naadyog Academy, a group of thirteen girls along with their mentor, Ragini Makkhar, have been announced as the winners of India’s Got Talent Season 5.
As winners of this grand season of the show, Ragini Makkhar And Naadyog Academy received a cash prize of Rs. 50 Lacs, a Maruti Celerio car and a specially crafted trophy engraved with the signatures of jury members Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora Khan and Karan Johar.
The other contestants that were contending for the top spot were: Funny Boys, Hassan Rizvi, Subhreet Kaur Ghumman, Saei Jamshid, Anshu Kumar, Hargun Kaur, Beat Breakers, Rohit Jaiswal and Anusua Chowdhary.
Amitabh Bachchan, who was there to promote his film Bhoothnath Returns had a blast interacting with all the finalists as well as both the anchors VJ Andy and Bharti Singh.
If this was not enough, the dancing diva Madhuri Dixit and the ever so charming Juhi Chawla, too came in as special guests to extend their support to all the finalists.
Raagini Makkar, a well-known kathak dance teacher from Indore, has been leading the Naadyog Institute for over twenty five years and tutors close to about four hundred dance enthusiasts.
Talking about their win, mentor Ragini Makkhar commented, “We have strived very hard to achieve this landmark and winning the India’s Got Talent trophy, I cannot help but jump with joy at being announced as the country’s premier talent this year. It’s the team work and perseverance that has brought us this victory and, today, we are filled with pride to have received so much love and appreciation from audiences.”

Karan Johar too added, “We have witnessed a different caliber of contestants this year who have raised the bar of entertainment manifold. Being a part of this historic season of India’s Got Talent has been a complete joy.”
Last but not the least Malaika Arora Khan said, “The talent, simplicity and endurance of all the contestants has instilled a lot of energy and positivity in me and I feel humbled to have been a part of a show which encourages talent in every form and genre.”
