MUMBAI: While Bollywood geared up in large numbers to support ‘Saath Hain Hum Uttarakhand’, a relief programme for the flood victims in Uttarakhand, at the movies the dominance of one man continues, Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Chennai Express’ has broken quite a few records and all set to break some more. Giving SRK competition is Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan who set on a bike ride for ‘OUATIMD’. Kareena Kapoor confesses her secrets too. 

The Shah Rukh Khan Frenzy: With ‘Chennai Express’ becoming a roaring hit in the first weekend itself, Shah Rukh Khan is truly on a high. SRK mania is everywhere. So much that wherever SRK is making his esteemed presence, fans in large numbers greet him with a smile! The actor almost was mobbed at a single-screen in Bandra when fans went berserk seeing their favourite star amongst them. The police had to resort to lathi-charge to control. Meanwhile SRK relived his DDLJ days at Maratha Mandir where both, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ and ‘Chennai Express’ are running to pack houses. The madness continues…

Uttarakhand Fund Raiser With Bollywood: Bollywood stars united for a noble cause for the Uttarakhand flood victims. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, John Abraham, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and several others were present at ‘Saath Hain Hum Uttarakhand’ to raise funds. Amitabh Bachchan auctioned 3 apparels while Shah Rukh Khan contributed Rs 33 Lakhs from the collections of ‘Chennai Express’ towards the initiative. SRK also stated that Rs 33 Lakhs is just a number and each member from Bollywood will try their best to help the victims. “Unity is strength”. Bollywood has always stood by this!

Unstoppable ‘Chennai Express’: Records continue to be broken as ‘Chennai Express’ and SRK continue to set new benchmarks with the comic caper. The film had already broken ‘Ek Tha Tiger’s’ record of 1st day collections by collecting a crore more than the Salman starrer. And now within a week’s of the film’s release the film has managed to collect Rs 150 crores at the box-office. Rohit Shetty, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone seem so excited by this that there are also plans of a supposed sequel. Ready Steady Po!

Once Upon A Time..’ A Bike Ride: If ‘Chennai Express’ is abuzz with all the media attention, Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan aren’t far behind. Ahead of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara’ release, the two lads set out on a bike-ride from Mumbai airport. With the first day reports for the Akshay-Imran-Sonakshi starrer not quite favourable, we all know the invincible winner here!

No Badtameezi for Kareena: Kareena Kapoor Khan has flatly refused a kissing scene with co-star Emraan Hashmi for ‘Badtameez Dil’. The actress will be sharing screen space for the first time with the ‘Serial Kisser’ but will not be doing any steamy scenes with Emraan Hashmi. Is it the post marriage syndrome? For now all eyes on her performance in ‘Satyagraha’ alongside Ajay Devgn set to release on 30 August.
