MUMBAI: This week, Bollywood was at its craziest best, with several incidents vying for a spot in our ‘Moments’ roundup…
The Golden Hug: The week began on a joyous note, with bitter rivals Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan seemingly forgetting their differences, and warmly embracing one another at MLA Baba Siddiqui’s Iftar party. They set tongues wagging, with observers speculating on whether this is the end of the infamous cold war which divided Bollywood into two distinct camps.
Shah Rukh Khan chose not to comment on the hug, but his Tweet the very next morning said it all.
Finally u realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, becos there is so much more to the book than the page u were stuck on

With Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan jumping into the fray, saying it was just out of courtesy and the two will remain professional rivals, we weren’t quite sure which way to look at the situation. Either ways, the Ramadan spirit of forgiveness and harmony seems to be in the air, and hopefully somewhere down the line, fans could expect a coming together of sorts, a la ‘Karan Arjun’!
Charged: Salman Khan was also in the news this week, in connection with his 11 year old court case in the hit-and-run accident. Charges were framed this week by a Mumbai Sessions court, which means that Salman Khan will now be tried for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. If convicted, Salman Khan could face upto 10 years behind bars.
From Spain to Colombo: Salman Khan’s ex Katrina Kaif was also surrounded with a lot of buzz this week, for allegedly coming out of the closet. We don’t mean what you think, but what we mean is that she as much as declared her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor!
Pictures of the two alleged lovebirds holidaying in Ibiza surfaced, which showed Kat in a red bikini and RK bare-chested in a pair of blue shorts. News also trickled in that the two would be taking a mini-break in Colombo, Sri Lanka, before shooting begins for Ranbir’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ (SEE REPORT HERE) With this, Bollywood’s most secret couple seems to have finally ended the ‘Cat-And-Mouse’ game. What a relief!
Movie Bonanza: Finally, moviegoers were spoilt for choice this week, with as many as 11 new releases hitting the marquee (READ FULL STORY HERE) Well before the August Rush begins in Bollywood, a slew of International, Bollywood and regional films were lined up for release on the same day.
