After the makers of Phantom released the very dramatic first look, here’s the film’s trailer. After a long wait, the trailer of one of the most awaited films of the year is finally here and it kind of reminds us of a lot of things and… films!

Like any other action, drama and thriller film, director Kabir Khan’s Phantom’s trailer has guns flying in the air, explosions, hi-tech gadgets, thrilling car chase, pretty woman who gets caught up in the whole mess for no reason and a good looking man, who is pretty “crazy” and hell bent on erasing the 26/11 masterminds from the face of the earth. The trailer starts on an emotional note as it refreshes some old bitter memories and slowly but steadily the trailer progresses and Phantom’s story is presented to us on a silver platter.

In the trailer, we meet Saif Ali Khan, who plays the role of Daniyal, the man out on a mission to seek justice for the attacks that took place in Mumbai on 26/11. Saif’s dialogue, “If America can get justice by killing Osama Bin Laden by carrying out a secret operation in Pakistan, why can’t India do the same by killing the masterminds of 26/11,” reveals Phantom’s concept. Saif’s journey takes him from India to Europe, America and Middle East. Saif looks his best and fits perfectly well in the character, however it’s Katrina Kaif that kind of looks out of the place in the trailer. Looking at Katrina in the trailer, we can’t help but think of her film Ek Tha Tiger and Bang Bang. Just like in Bang Bang, Katrina once again gets caught up in the whole situation in Phantom.

Nonetheless, the trailer of Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan’s Phantom, which is a counter-terrorism drama film, succeeded in impressing us and we are more than excited to catch the film in theatres on August 28, 2015. The film is an adaptation of Hussain Zaidi’s recently released book ‘Mumbai Avengers’. Phantom is about post-26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism.
