TRAILER: Akshay Kumar Packs A Punch In ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’

Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ brought back the era of punch dialogues and gang-wars. And it just gets bigger in ‘Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai Again’

MUMBAI: The team behind the successful ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’ are back with those hard-hitting punch lines and the gang-wars. The war of words between Sultan Mirza aka Ajay Devgn and Shoaib aka Emraan Hashmi just seems to have got bigger in the sequel, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’.

A swanky cricket stadium, the captains in blue and green blazers are ready to flip the coin are wondering why the toss isn’t happening. And then we see, the don walking in style. As he enters the stadium, and raises his arms, the crowd roars aloud. The first visuals of the trailer, not only is apt in the age of cricket betting, but also creates interest on the persona of the biggest don ‘Shoaib’ played by Akshay Kumar.

Shoaib is back with a new face aka Akshay Kumar and ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ is his story. The prince has now become a king, king of the crime scene and there’s no one against him, to bring down his supremacy until Aslam aka Imran Khan enters. And there is the diva Yasmin aka Sonakshi Sinha, who charms the men to fall for her. It’s to see who with their power, persona and fear are able to win Yasmin.

While most of the trailer, looks like an extended version of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, it is the personal vengeance between Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan, which will be the high point for the film.

Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha create interest with their characters, but it is Akshay Kumar and his punch lines, which make, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ more engaging.

‘Peene ki capacity, jeene ki strength, account ka balance, aur naam ka khauuf kabhi bhi kam nahi hona chahiye.’ Sounds similar to a line from the dud ‘Tees Maar Khan’? Well that was a thing of the past. Time to get serious.

‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by Milan Luthria, releases on 8 August.
