Rohit Shetty has maintained his “shtyle” in his first collaboration with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer for ‘Chennai Express’ promises a lot of action, explosions and overturned cars, just like his previous films.
In the ‘Chennai Express’ trailer, Shah Rukh Khan is travelling to Chennai to immerse his father’s ashes into the sea, but meets Deepika Padukone (sporting a weird South Indian accent) on the way who happens to change his life. The film, as we know, is about a life-changing experience and all that is exhibited very well in the trailer.
Rohit Shetty seems to be up to his usual tricks in the ‘Chennai Express’ trailer. The frenetic action, over-the-top stunts, vehicles being toppled and a mob of henchmen attacking the hero – it’s all there! He has only upped the ante what with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
The music in the trailer is by Vishal-Shekhar; the catchy song is called ‘Chennai Express’ and is sung by legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam.
‘Chennai Express’ is the first time Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have been paired together since 2007’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ and it releases on the Eid weekend this year, 8 August, 2013. We are eagerly awaiting a fast and furious Shah Rukh Khan on our screens in what could be the biggest movie this year.
