MUMBAI: Excel Entertainment released the trailer of ‘Fukrey’, an upcoming comedy film written and directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the film stars Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh and Priya Anand in the lead roles.

The makers of the film, who have previously made several films on male bonding, like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Rock On!’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ say, “This is the first time we are venturing out with newcomers. We are extremely excited about ‘Fukrey’ and we would market this film like any of our other big movies. This is our only release this year.”

The trailer of the film begins with two friends entering college on horses to create an impression on the ladies. The trailer follows the life of four nobodies who had nothing but dreams which turn into their worst nightmare.

The plot of the film revolves around friendship, life and dreams. Four friends Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), Lali (Manjot Singh) and Zafar (Ali Fazal) trying to make life king size, take a wrong step and get stuck in a nightmare. In order to win a lottery based on an assumption of Bunny, the friends approach an investor Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadda) a brash, coarse, rude financer with the plan.

The jingle ‘Fuk Fuk Fuk Fukrey’ is upbeat, fun and sets the mood for a hilarious, youthful film, based on male bonding and friendship. It has been penned by Vipul Vig and composed by Ram Sampath.

‘Fukrey’ means nobodies, and is slated to hit the screens on June 14, 2013.
