Trailer Review: Lekar Hum Deewana Dil – This One Reminds You Of Saathiya

Lekar-Hum-Deewana-DilIts fresh, its vibrant and its cute; well we are talking about Illuminati Films and Eros International‘s latest romantic film titled Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.

Lekar Hum Deewana Dil stars Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth, both making their Bollywood debut with this film. However Armaan Jain has assisted Karan Johar on Student Of The Year while Deeksha Seth has previously worked in the moves down South.

Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is all about making mistakes and growing up as it takes audiences through the journey of two friends who take decisions, face consequences and learn from them; very La Saathiya that starred Rani Mukerj and Vivek Oberoi and was released in the year 2002.

Coincidently the music for both Saathiya as well as Lekar Hum Deewana Dil has been composed by A.R. Rahman.

The trailer opens with a couple quarreling in what seems like a couple’s counseling session, and is followed by the couples plans to elope in order to avoid their parents plans of getting them into an arranged marriage. Both Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth make a great on screen pair and look fresh, vulnerable and cute.

The title of the film is special since it has its bearings from the namesake chartbuster from Yaadon Ki Baaraat, a Nasir Hussain film that released in 1973.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE TRAILER:Imtiaz Ali’s brother Arif Ali makes his directorial debut with the film and Saif Ali Khan has produced the movie under his production company, Illuminati Films.

“The film is all about making mistakes and growing up. It reflects the ‘act first, think later’ sentiment of today’s youth and how relationships fail over unrealistic expectations. We are excited about our collaboration with A.R. Rahman too. He has created a young and new sound, which is unlike anything we have heard before.” says producer Dinesh Vijan.

Now will Armaan Jain be able to live up to the magic of his grandfather Raj Kapoor, well lets wait and watch as the film is set to hit the silver screen on July 04, 2014.
