MUMBAI: Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra has finally launched the video of her first single ‘In My City’ featuring Will.i.am.
The colorful and vibrant music video surely makes you want to put on your dancing shoes to groove with Priyanka. Looking super hot, toned and stylish, Priyanka Chopra could easily compete with the likes of International pop singers Rihanna and Britney Spears.
The black lacy shorts, suspenders, pink shirt and golden jacket all show off Priyanka’s svelte body, but makes us wonder why the ‘desi girl’ didn’t don anything even remotely close to Indian for a song that she’s been regularly touting to be a tribute to her native city.
An ace dancer, Priyanka Chopra incorporates several dance styles in the debut video – from a slow walk, to street jazz and of course Bollywood style pelvic thrusts and thumkas. But most memorable is the Afro tribal part that finds its way into her movements.
The lyrics are wonderfully catchy, the tune extremely pleasing. But Ms. Chopra, placing a single auto rickshaw in the backdrop of a few phirangs and streets of what is clearly New York doesn’t make the song ‘Indian’!
