This year, seems to be the year for Bollywood actors who are following the trend of boxing and donning wrestler character for their upcoming films. After Ranbir Kapoor as boxer Johny Balraj in Bombay Velvet, and co-actors Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar as boxers in their upcoming film ‘Brothers, Bollywood’s two Khans, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have took over the role of wrestler in their respective upcoming films.
Well, by now we all know that Aamir Khan will be playing the role of wrestler in Nitesh Tiwari’s next Dangal. While, with the recent teaser released of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan starrer Salman Khan has taken over the internet. The actor who will play the role of Sultan in the film will be seen as daredevil wrestler in the film.
Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari‘s Dangal is a biopic on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, the father of Indian women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat. The film encourages necessity for sports and one’s free will. It aims on educating parents to let their child follow his or her dream.

On the other hand, there has been a lot of news on Salman Khan’s much-talked project Sultan to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Salman Khan will play 40-year-old wrestler role in the film.
Both the film has required huge amount of efforts and sacrifice to get into perfect role for the film. Salman and Aamir both have worked a lot and are currently working on their physique to play the role of wrestler.
Aamir Khan has gone into a big transformation for Dangal as he has gained 90 kg weight for the film and is also learning Haryanvi language and this is why he is called Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood.
On the other hand even Salman Khan has geared up for the preparation of Sultan which is centric in Haryana. The actor would require huge amount of preparation for his role and is also looking forward to get his body in shape for the toughest role. Salman has to follow strict diet and exercise regime in order to get perfect boxer’s body. The most important, Salman will also take some time to learn wrestling stunts as well. The shooting of the film is expected to finish in one schedule and is slated to release next year during Eid.
Now time will tell, whether Aamir Khan or Salman Khan who sets their mark as wrestler in front of the audience! Meanwhile who would you prefer watching?
