The 30th anniversary Priyadarshini Global Awards placed at the Trident in Mumbai was a grand affair where attendants were union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Dilip Walse Patil, former union minister Suresh Prabhu amongst others.
Those who received the awards were industrialist Mukesh Ambani who won the Harish Mahindra Memorial Award for Business Leadership, Priyanka Chopra who won Smita Patil Memorial Award for her super performance in the film ‘Mary Kom‘, spiritual guru Dada J.P. Vaswani who won the Spiritual Leadership Award and businesswoman Rajshree Birla who won the Ramakrishna Bajaj Award for Contributions to CSR.
Priyanka Chopra was seen as a fashionista for she chose to go the traditional, yet simple in a pink woven saree from Kolkata that had a blue border running on the sides. Open hair, a tiny bindi and gold jewellery from Anmol Jewellers completed her look. Mrs. Nita Ambani, also present for the occasion, accepted the award on behalf of her husband Mukesh Ambani.
