Salman Khan who is gaining laurels and compliments for his blockbuster film Bajrangi Bhaijaan is in news again. The actor who changed the box office scenario with his record breaking film Bajrangi Bhaijaan is in news this time for the Indian girl stranded in Pakistan.
It is much in news lately that an Indian girl renamed Geeta crossed the border unknowingly and landed into the Pakistani territory during her childhood, the girl since then has been living in the neighboring country. The girl was bought to an NGO from Lahore station where she has been taken care of since the last 15 years. The NGO had also renamed the girl Geeta not knowing what her actual name was, and the officials have also created a room where she can pray her religion without any hindrance.
The issue has gained all the headlines because of its striking resemblance to Salman Khan’s movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which is a tale about a Pakistani girl stranded in India. Due to the similarity between the two, Geeta’s case has been making rounds in the media. After the success of the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Geeta and her caretakers are in a hope that someday she will also be reunited with her family.
Speaking about helping Geeta, Salman was recently asked about whether he has made any plans to help Geeta. The handsome hunk commented saying that the Government officials are looking into the matter efficiently, the actor also added that he would like to meet Geeta once she is back in India and reunited with her family.
The actor is all the more happy because Geeta is well taken care of in Pakistan as well. The talented actor also appeared to be thankful to the officials and the NGO who are looking into the matter seriously.
On the professional front, Salman Khan is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo; the film will mark the comeback of Sooraj Barjatya with Salman after many years. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
