Eina Ahluwalia – LFW Summer/Resort 2012
The ramp lights came on and Eina Ahluwalia's dazzling show at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012 was a vision of gold and beauty, as models in luxurious nude fluid creations floated down the ramp. Titled "Forgotten Jewel" the jewel egg opened the show and the majestic necklace was the startling entry as it dazzled in the brilliance of the lights. With motifs like the eye, adding to the glitter of the jewellery, Eina played with monocles to turn them into pieces of unforgettable ornaments. Each entry defied imagination, as Eina revealed her extreme creativity to the audience. A series of small gold eggs cascaded down the chains of a neckpiece. Multi cigarette boxes as pendants and a trellised cage hung boldly around the neck of the model. A giant heart pendant was handcuffed to the wrists and the next entry had the veins and nerves of this important organ gleaming under the ramp lights on a chain. Three enamelled Eyes took centre stage hung on thick gold ropes while numerous monocles were turned into brooches and necklace. Chunks of gold were the centre pieces of gold chains and multi strands of coral probably depicted the rushing blood in the veins. Eina ended the show with a triple door giant box as pendant attached to the model's wrists. Here was creative jewellery from the studios of Eina Ahluwalia that could be desired by every woman and will turn into heirlooms.
