MUMBAI: The cast and crew of Slumdog Millionaire, which swept the Golden Globe Awards with four statuettes, are slated to be in India next week to attend the movie’s premiere. The premiere will be held on 22 January in Mumbai and the movie releases in India on 23 January.
According to information available with Businessofcinema.com, the cast of Slumdog Millionaire including Dev Patel and Freida Pinto are slated to be in India for the premiere. Director Danny Boyle is also expected to attend but confirmation on his dates and availability is likely to come in by the end of this week.
However, it is not sure whether music maestro AR Rahman, who won the Globe for Best Music Score, for Slumdog Millionaire, will be able to attend the premiere or not. Fox Star Studios is awaiting Rahman’s return from LA, in order to confirm his presence at the premiere.
