MUMBAI: Producer Mahendra Dhariwal is all set to embark on an international project with director Kalpana Lajmi. The still untitled movie will be made in two languages – English and Hindi, which will be released in India and abroad.
Bipasha Basu along with another international actress will head the star cast.
“Kalpana Lajmi will direct my movie. The film’s subject is based on a famous novel, which I don’t can’t disclose at this point in time,” says Dhariwal.
“Kalpanaji has already narrated the script to Bipasha Basu and we are waiting for her approval. The film will also star a Hollywood actress who has already given her approval. The movie will be shot in a 50 days start to finish schedule in Bikaner and Jaisalmer from January 2007. Since it’s an international project, it will also be released internationally. The budget of the movie will be around Rs 90 million (Rs 9 crores),” he adds.
Meanwhile Dhariwal’s film Jimmy And Johnny, starring Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan is also slated to release soon. “Three corporate houses are negotiating with me for the worldwide rights of the film. We are yet to decide on one and then we will fix the release date of the film,” he informs.
