MUMBAI: Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has roped in Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for a suspense thriller tentatively titled Crooked.
The movie will be directed by Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo. Speaking exclusively to Businessofcinema.com, Sidhwani says, “Crooked is a working title. We are looking out for a Hindi name to go with the story of the film.”
The details of the film are still being sorted out. However Sidhwani confirmed, “The shooting is expected to start from 1 July. The locations for this film have been finalized and the film will see its cast traveling to various places like the Greek Islands, Istanbul, London and several places in Thailand. There will also be a shooting schedule in Mumbai.”
The junior Bachchan couple has already been seen in seven films prior to this. They have also been cast for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming flick Ravana, which will release later this year.
While 2008 saw Abhishek and Aishwarya in Sarkar Raj, 2007 cemented their relationship into marriage with Umrao Jaan and Guru. 2009 will see them in Ravana and the following year, Crooked.
