MUMBAI: Filmmaker Boney Kapoor, who produced Mr India in 1987 starring Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Amrish Puri, is preparing a sequel to the same and has titled it Mr India Returns. 

While Mr India was directed by Shekhar Kapoor and written by Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan; the sequel will be directed by Nikhil Advani (of Kal Ho Na Ho fame). 

“I am going to be producing the sequel to Mr India. I have appointed four team of writers to pen the script. Once that is done, I will finalise the cast. Apart from Anil, no one has signed on,” says Boney Kapoor.

This will be his second sequel; the first being No Entry 2, which will be directed by Anees Bazmee.
