MUMBAI: Actor John Abraham has got a new set of fancy wheels. However this one is completely desi. John has bought himself a new Maruti Gypsy. And before you think recession has hit the Dostana actor, he is quick to clarify, "I have always fancied the gypsy as a boy. And now that I am in India and have time for myself, I bought it. And this was on the recommendation of Homazd Sorabji, editor of Auto Car magazine."

John’s gypsy has been designed by Swapnil Nalabade, who revealed all the detailing the car was given. He said, "We have removed the soft top, customized it and now it extends to only the front seats. The original car seats have been done away with and we have put in racing car seats. We have also raised the ground clearance of the car."

Adding to what his designer just said, John quipped, "We have increased the size of the car tyres and put mag wheels. Bull bars have been added to the back and all the rear seats have been removed. It is now my favourite car. Come late night I take it out for a spin. But before you get any ideas that my passion for bikes has lessened, that will never happen. Bikes and cars will always be a part of me."
