MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures will be releasing Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan starrer Kismat Konnection with 790 prints worldwide.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur says, "We will be releasing close to 600 prints (equalling 700 screens) in India and another 190 prints of the movie in the overseas market."
The film has been produced by Tips Films. As has already been reported by Businessofcinema.com, UTV Motion Pictures had acquired the rights of Tips’ Race and Kismat Konnection for approximately Rs 900 million (Rs 90 crores), of which the latter’s acquistion price is said to be in the region of Rs 300 million (Rs 30 crores).
Kismat Konnection, directed by Aziz Mirza, also stars Om Puri, Juhi Chawla and Vishal Malhotra. Shah Rukh Khan has also done the voice overs for the movie.
Kismat Konnection is slated to release worldwide on 18 July.
