Kamal Hassan and Anushka Shetty join ISFM as academic advisors

MUMBAI: International School of Film+Media (ISFM) is all set to offer education in the film and media industry by associating with popular film makers, actors and directors. Further to the recent announcement pertaining to actor Prakash Raj joining the institute as Head of Acting Department, the institute has now roped in actors Kamal Hassan and Anushka Shetty as part of the academic advisory council.

Hassan will provide his guidance in designing the academic curriculum, recommendations on faculty and curriculum content. Shetty will also assume an advisory role at ISFM. Their passion for the craft, in-depth knowledge about the industry, and commitment to cinema ensures that the training of the students is delivered with a true respect for the role of the actors.
 
Located in the premises of Annapurna Studios, International School of Film+Media, the institute with a dual mission of providing world-class education to aspiring students and offering highly trained talent to the entire media industry, has commenced short-term courses and very soon will be launching Post Graduate courses in film making. As a part of its latest offering, ISFM has introduced an eight week short-term Acting Course.
 
The Acting Course prepares the students for the creative and practical demands expected of them by the film industry, at the same time it also helps the student achieve artistic freedom and to capture the imagination of the audiences. Leading actor Prakash Raj, will be the course coordinator. As part of the curriculum, the Acting for Film & Television course also brings in special guest directors & actors from the film and television industry to work closely with students.
 
The admissions are now open for the Acting Course which commences on October 31, 2011 and the entire course will be for eight weeks.
