MUMBAI: Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG) has appointed Percept Picture Company COO Mahesh Ramanathan as the head for its motion picture production and related business initiatives.
Ramanathan will spearhead the creation of a motion picture brand that will transcend most Indian languages. Along with initiating moves to participate in the $ 170 billion strong international market for English Films through strategic tie-ups with Hollywood majors, he will also be responsible for worldwide acquisition and syndication of motion picture content.
During his tenure at PPC, films like Hanuman, Malamal Weekly, Corporate, Dor and Traffic Signal were produced.
