MUMBAI: After Teen Deewarein, Yuva and Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota, another film by newcomers made on parallel story lines titled Sirf… Life Looks Greener On The Other Side was launched recently in Mumbai.
Jointly produced by Sanjay Kayadia and Kanu Patel, the film is directed by debutante Rajaatesh Nayar (assistant of Rajkumar Santoshi). Made under Seven Eagle Production, the film stars Manisha Koirala, Kay Kay Menon, Sonali Kulkarni, Shreyas Talpade, Rituparna Sengupta, Shilpa Anand, Manav Vaswani and Sonu Sood.
“The film is about people belonging to different lifestyles, segments and backgrounds. Every man at every given point of time wants to be better than the other man. He always feels that the grass is greener on the other side. The film has four stories all interconnected with one another and is based in Mumbai city,” says writer-director Nayar.
“I did not want a very big star cast for my movie and I did not want to compromise on my script too. I took a cast that could do justice to the script and at the same time also attract buyers easily. Manisha Koirala was always my first choice,” he adds.
The shooting of the movie commenced in and around the locales of Mumbai on 1 November. Being made on a medium budget, the film is slated for an April release. The film’s music is by Sohail Sen.
