Saeed Mirza to return to direction with PNC

MUMBAI: After a sabbatical of nearly 13 years, director Saeed Akhtar Mirza, of Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai fame, has returned to shoot a movie with Rajat Kapoor and Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC).
Mirza’s new film, titled Savdhan Meri Jaan is set to hit the floors in February. Of the movie Kapoor says, “I’ve signed a four-movie deal with PNC. One of them will be directed by Saeed Mirza. The movie is based on the complicated life in city of Mumbai.”
More than 50 actors from all over India will come together to act in the film. The cast will also include Rajat Kapoor, Vijay Raaz and Pawan Malhotra.

Mirza’s last directorial venture was Naseem in 1995.
When contacted, Pritish Nandy Communications spokesperson said, “It’s too early to comment on this.” While the spokesperson confirmed that the movie is on, no further details were made available.

Kapoor himself will direct a movie under the deal with PNC, the script for which he’s already finished writing. Titled A Rectangular Love Story, it is the story of one woman and three men. “I think I will finally manage capturing the women in the audience,” said Kapoor.
