MUMBAI: The stars are soon going to be shining down on the small screen. While Amitabh Bachchan will be seen as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati on Sony come 11 October, rival channel Colors has brought in none other than Salman Khan to host Bigg Boss 4.
It may be recalled that while Salman hosted Dus Ka Dam on Sony, Bachchan was the host of the previous season of Bigg Boss on Colors. However, now with KBC4 coming up and Bachchan’s unavailability to do the Colors show, Salman will be the new host of Bigg Boss. Moreover, Sony has also put the new season of Dus Ka Dum with Salman as host on hold as of now.
Viacom18 Group COO and Colors CEO Rajesh Kamat said, “Bigg Boss is one show that cuts across both – India as well as Bharat, in popularity and appeal. The coming together of India’s most ‘wanted’ superstar with India’s most wanted reality show only means one thing – entertainment extravaganza for Colors’ viewers.”
Previous seasons of Bigg Boss on Colors have seen actors Arshad Warsi and Shilpa Shetty as hosts for one season each.
