Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug to roll on 15 June

MUMBAI: Writer-producer-director Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug is all set to mount the sets from June 15.
 
Sources close to Gupta reveal, “Yes, the film will roll in mid-June.The major story of Alibaug is based on Sanjay Gupta’s own life. A major schedule for the film will be canned in Alibaug, which is Gupta’s preferred holiday spot.”


Sanjay Dutt, his close buddy and associate in his production firm, will play the role of Gupta in the film. Others in the cast include the filmmakers’ close friends like Sanjay Suri, Rohit Roy, Sudhanshu Pandde, Sameer Soni and Tisca Arora, amongst others. They will be playing themselves or be incorporated with other characters who were instrumental in changing Gupta’s life.
 
Alibaug will be a different film from his earlier action flicks like Aatish, Ram Shastra, Khauff, Jung, Kaante, Musafir and Zinda. Gupta says, “Alibaug will be a transition in my life. It will be a renewed beginning for me. The film takes off from my fatal road accident, five years ago.”  
Meanwhile, his  film in association with Ektaa Kapoor’s Shoot Out At Lokhandwala is slated for May 25 world-wide release. It is directed by Apoorva Lakhia
