MUMBAI: Bhojpuri films will be telecast on a satellite channel, Star Gold, which belongs to the Star India group.
This is the first time that Bhojpuri films will get a national television audience.
Says Wide Angle Media’s Aneesh Aarjun Dev, “Bhojpuri films will now be shown on Star Gold. I started buying the satellite rights of Bhojpuri films when no one thought of the idea. I have acquired the rights of 65 hit titles so far. I had approached various TV channels, but it was Star, which was convinced.”
